
The second field trip took PhD researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and principal investigators through Quintana Roo and the Mérida region. Participants explored territorial conflicts, extractive development, and local resistance movements, including visits to Hunucmá and Sisal. The trip highlighted the impacts of industrial production, tourism-driven real estate expansion, and water privatization, as well as ongoing community efforts to defend territory, water, and alternative models of Buen Vivir.
